Bisley Valley Nature Reserve is situated on the western side of Pietermaritzburg. Access is off Gladys Manzi (Murray) Road and there is no entrance fee payable.
This thorn veld reserve is 250 ha and managed by the Msunduzi Municipality. It is an easy area to walk, and contains excellent bushveld birds, plus Giraffe, Impala and Zebra.
The security gate to the horse stables is ALWAYS closed but not locked and can be pushed open The gate MUST be left closed after entering or leaving the reserve.
Follow the signs to the picnic / parking and join us for an early morning cup of coffee and a rusk. Bring your own Hug In a Mug, Coffee Mug and Rusks, we will setup the Smart Kitchen in the Rok and provide the boiling water.
