I grew up in the town of Bowman after moving to it 51 years ago with my parents. This area used to be an open grain field that my buddies and I would go snowmobiling on. My family and I have gone back to the town to see my parents many many times over the years and have always talked about how even though the town and the area has changed the small town feel has not. With the recent death of my father and my mother needing to move to another city for care my family's presense in Bowman has ended. This is an area that will be busy during the summer months but will be pretty easy to get to during off peak hours in the day and during the other seasons. Parking is available right at the cache snow fall allowing of course. My youngest kid and I have always said that we need to place a cache here because it is a nice place to stop and enjoy. We placed it and will enjoy stopping here on our way through to see my mother.
We placed this cache right beside a walking trail that is a great place to stop and stretch the legs and lets the dogs and kids out to move a bit. Keep an eye out if you go into the tall grass as snakes have been spotted in the area.
