Také ve vašem okolí mizí stromy ? A přibývají pařezy ? O ochraně přírody se hodně mluví i píše. Většinou však pouze o fauně. Týrání zvířat je trestným činem a to je správné. Když však někdo bezdůvodně porazí strom, který tu rostl desítky let, nic se neděje. Většina populace totiž pokládá stromy pouze za „dřevo“, které lze zužitkovat. Někteří lidé jen za plevel, který je potřeba vymýtit. Jiní lidé chápou, že to velké košaté, co kolem nás roste, není jen dřevo. Že to jsou úžasné bytosti, které ze svého okolí jen málo berou, zato mu hodně dávají. Díky přírodnímu zázraku, zvanému fotosyntéza, nám mnoho rostlin, včetně stromů, vyrábí kyslík. Kdyby tu nebyly stromy a zelené rostliny všeobecně, nebyla by tu ani zvířata, ani lidé. Neměli bychom totiž co dýchat. Tuto multi-keš zakládám jako svůj obdiv k těmto štědrým dárcům kyslíku, i jako apel pro jejich ochranu.

V Jilemnici máme několik krásných starých stromů. Tato jednoduchá multi-keš vám ukáže tři z nich.
Stage 1: Lípa v zámeckém parku – u vchodu do zámeckého parku je pomník geologa Františka Pošepného. Za ním se nachází stará zámecká lípa. Když stojíte čelem k pomníku, po vaší levé ruce je velká informační tabule. Zde najdete, mimo jiné, odhadovaný věk této lípy ( trojciferné číslo ). Vzadu za infotabulí je připevněn dřevěný předmět, rozdělený na části – segmenty. Počet těchto částí ( jednociferné liché číslo ) odečtěte od věku lípy a získáte A.
Stage 2: Lípa u kostela – když obejdete kostel sv. Vavřince ( v těsné blízkosti Stage 1 ), v zadní části – u sakristie naleznete další velkou lípu. Postavte se k ní zády tak, aby jste viděli na kostel. Před vámi, na kostelní zdi je okap a za ním jsou v omítce kostela vyryty vodorovné čáry. Spočítejte je od země až po střechu. Dvouciferné liché číslo jejich počtu je B.
Stage 3: Buk u Labutě – u restaurace „Labuť“ roste památný buk. Před stromem je tabule s informacemi o tomto stromu. Na ní najdete průměr buku ve výšce 0,5m nad zemí. Trojciferné liché číslo vám dá C.
