Geocache Description:

The tower is early 18th century, replacing one that fell, and clearly designed with recreational bell-ringing in mind. The knapped flints used to line the walls of the nave and chancel. This is, to all intents and purposes, a Victorian church, but there are a few survivals of its earlier days. The two medieval brasses are in the nave, there is a strangely antiseptic opening to the rood loft stair on the north side of the chancel, and the outline of what must have been a five light Early English window at the east end. You are looking for a small black screw top container hidden in the churchyard with the permission of the church. ******************* For full information on how you can expand the Church Micro series by sadexploration please read the Place your own Church Micro page before you contact him at churchmicro.co.uk See also the Church Micro Statistics and Home pages for further information about the series. ****************** *******************
