AROUND THE WORLD CUISINE & CULTURE - TURKEY
Our travels around the world have brought us to Turkey - a fascinating and often overlooked country with so much interesting history.
We are combining this Cuisine event with a Cultural experience.
Please note: I am not trying to convert anyone to Islam - I am purely providing the opportunity for you to learn about other cultures and also experience the architectural beauty of this building.
Cultural Part: We will go on a relaxed tour of the Mosque and view the beauty within. It is truly remarkable and how lucky are we that we have such a building nearby without needing to fly to Turkey! Everyone please note that you HAVE TO REMOVE YOUR SHOES before entering the prayer part of the Mosque. LADIES & GIRLS (any age) - YOU HAVE TO USE A SHAWL OR SIMILAR TO COVER YOUR HEAD, you also need to wear loose, covered clothing or something on top of revealing clothing. The tour should last less than an hour and if you plan to participate, please meet at 15h30. There is no charge for the tour.
Cuisine Part: We will be going to the restaurant on site - The Ottoman Palace. This is authentic Turkish as you're going to get outside of Turkey. However, there is strictly NO ALCOHOL SERVED OR ALLOWED!!
You don't need to purchase anything, but if you do, it will be for your own account.
As we must book tables, please log a "Will Attend" and indicate the number of people in your group.
