Memorial Park CITO April 2019
URGENT UPDATE
After initial discussions three weeks ago where all was in order for our endeavors with our little garden at Memorial Park, I was last week asked to deal with a new person from a separate department in Wyebank that deals with horticultural aspects for the Municipality. I have just received an e-mail (13:55 on 09 April) declining the indigenous / succulent garden at Memorial Park although we still have permission for the CITO. The intended bench donation is also not permitted. As the horticulturalist is establishing another (new) garden in Winston Park, we may place the bench there and may get permission to establish the little garden there in the near future. I have amended the listing title as well. Thus, our outing will be just a normal CITO. Apologies, but I will endeavor to get an answer to the sudden decline

Original listing :
This will be a CITO with a difference.... Instead of the usual "taking out" we will be "putting in"
In remembrance of TechnoNut, we will create a little Memorial Garden for Pete and invite everyone to bring a little plant, flower, shrub, small tree, ground cover etc., to plant in a secluded area
For those that visited Pete at his flat in Pinetown, I still have that cactus at the backdoor that he used as a doorstop. Bless his heart! That will be one of the contributions
Why here? Memorial park was a special place for Pete which he visited often. One of our rare night caches - Nocturne (GC3J1M2) - was placed here by Pete. It was also the last place where he attended an event
And should there be some rubbish lying around, why not just pick it up while we are there
