Little Bridges 1612
Heywood
Back in 2019, I came across this footpath for the first time, which led me to this little bridge. I instantly knew I was going to place a little bridges cache here, as it's just down the road from my house. I have lived in Westbury all my life and cannot believe it's taking me this long to find this location!
Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, the journey or location, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or "copy and paste" logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache. Please keep this in mind when entering your log. |
The route to the cache when coming from Heywood is a bit hidden, I have added a waypoint to help you find it if you get stuck
Accessibility
The cache is not wheelchair accessible unfortunatly. You can get pushchairs to the site, but I wouldn't recommend it.
The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast. There is a stats listing, so you can see how many Little Bridges you have found, you can find it here:- www.littlebridgesseries.co.uk . If you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan via the Little Bridges website with your caching name, name of your Little Bridge and the GC code and he will give you a number for your bridge. To qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches "Little Bridges # xxxx then the name" including spaces so it will get picked up and added to stats list.
