This is another planned clean up of the Penobscot River and it's feeder streams in Brewer. Last year was our thirteenth year and was very successful. Last year many tons of trash was collected, proving there is always a need to keep these clean-ups going. There is always more to collect.
Once again this will be an effort of Geocachers from Maine and beyond to do some serious CITO in the City of Brewer Maine All interested in helping can meet at the posted coordinates at 8:00AM for coffee and donuts. Equipment will be handed out and then we will go to our designated areas to begin clean up at 9:00.The clean up goes until around 12:00. From 12:00 to 1:00 PM that afternoon we will regroup at the starting point for a catered picnic lunch to show recognition for our efforts. This is a wonderful opportunity to give to a community. There have been new walking trails added along the river. Please come and show what geocachers can do to give back to the environment and the community.
