Geocache Description:

I could have fitted a traditional cache here but thought a simple calculation and a short walkies in the Battersea area would make your search more fun.
First a little about the station, York Road (Battersea) was opened by the LB&SCR on 1st may 1867. If you look west you will be able to admire the fine green bridge displaying the company plaque. The station was designed by Charles Henry Driver in a polychromatic brick Venetian Gothic style and has a grade 2 listing. The name was changed to Battersea Park & York Road on 1st January 1877 and then just Battersea park on 1st June 1885.
Platform 1 is no longer used, 2 only for the parliamentary service, 3 is the down platform. Platform 4 is accessed via a set of steep, rickety stairs and provides the up Victoria service. Platform 5 is only passed by non stopping trains except when there problems. The principal service runs between Victoria and Sutton with some of those continue to Epsom and others to Epsom Downs. There are half hourly services to Caterham and London Bridge via Crystal Palace.
The parliamentary service to and from Clapham High Street (Overground) runs once a day in the early morning, this follows the withdrawal of the London Bridge via Denmark Hill trains in 2012.
Buses 156 and 344 stop outside with 44,137 and 452 a short walk away.
To find the cache you will have to substitute some numbers on the Oval plaque below the bridge into the following formula.

N 51 (B-A)H.(G+D)(E-A)(D*G) W 00 F(A+E).ECH

Where the main number is ABCD and the bridge is E miles and FGHJ yards from the terminus.

The checksum for A to J is 30

You are looking for a black magnetic tube with just a log book, please bring a writing implement. There is no room for anything inside, please replace as found.

I have given a generous hint in case there are problems with the final.
