Pour nous dire au revoir après ce weekend chargé, nous nous retrouverons au fort d’Emines, au nord de Namur.
Lors de cette rencontre, nous ferons le bilan de ce premier Mega de Wallonie, et nous parlerons de nos projets futurs.
Le fort d'Emines construit entre les villages d'Émines et de Saint-Marc, est l'un des 9 forts construits entre 1888 et 1892 autour de Namur en Belgique conjointement à ceux de Liège, afin de défendre la neutralité du pays contre les velléités des pays voisins qui étaient susceptibles d'emprunter la vallée de la Meuse pour s'envahir l'un l’autre.
Tous ces forts ont été conçus par le général Henri Alexis Brialmont et mettent en œuvre un béton non-armé, matériau assez novateur à l'époque. Il est positionné au nord de la ville et est considéré comme l'un des "petits" forts de la ceinture namuroise.

Om na dit drukke weekend afscheid te nemen, ontmoeten we elkaar in het fort van Emines, ten noorden van Namen.
Tijdens deze bijeenkomst zullen we de balans opmaken van deze eerste Mega uit Wallonië en zullen we over onze toekomstige projecten praten.
Het fort van Emines is tussen de dorpjes van Emines en Saint-Marc gebouwd. Het is 1 van de 9 forten die tussen 1888 en 1892 rond Namen in België gezamenlijk met de forten van Luik werd gebouwd om de neutraliteit van het land te verdedigen tegen de grillen van de andere landen die de Maas vallei wilden inslaan om tegen elkaar te vechten.
Al deze forten werden door generaal Henri Alexis Brialmont ontworpen en voeren een ongewapend beton uit. Het fort staat ten Noorden van de stad en is beschouwd als een “klein” fort van de gordel van Namen.

To say goodbye after this busy weekend, we will meet at the Fort of Emines, in the North of Namur.
During this meeting we’ll make a feedback of the first MEGA in Wallonia and we’ll talk about our future plans.
The fort of Emines was build between the villages of Emines and Saint-Marc. It’s one of the nine forts build between 1888 and 1892 in the surroundings of Namur in Belgium in the same time as the forts of Liège to defend the neutrality of the country against the vagaries of the neighbours who came through the valley of the Meuse to invade each other.
All of those forts have been designed by general Henri Alexis Brialmont and used reinforced concrete, a quite rare material at that time. It’s in the North of the city and is considered as one of the “small’ forts of surroundings of the city of Namur.

Um uns nach diesem anstrengenden Wochenende zu verabschieden, treffen wir uns in Fort Emines, nördlich von Namur.
Während dieses Treffens werden wir eine Bilanz dieses ersten Megas in Wallonien ziehen und über unsere zukünftigen Projekte reden.
Die Festung von Emines, gebaut zwischen den Dörfern Emines und Saint-Marc, ist eine von 9 Festungen, die zwischen 1888 und 1892 rund um Namur in Belgien zusammen mit denen von Lüttich gebaut wurden, um die Neutralität des Landes gegenüber den Absichten der Nachbarländer zu verteidigen, die das Maastal nutzen würden, um sich gegenseitig zu überfallen.
Alle diese Festungen wurden von General Henri Alexis Brialmont entworfen und bestehen aus unbewehrtem Stahlbeton, einem damals noch recht innovativen Baustoff. Es liegt im Norden der Stadt und gilt als eines der " kleinsten " Forts im Namur-Gürtel.
