A Residência Faria Mantero encanta visitantes.
Projetada pelo arquiteto Vasco Regaleira no final da década de 30 do século passado, esta residência é um exemplar do revivalismo que caracterizou a arquitetura portuguesa dos anos 40. A casa foi mandada edificar por Pedro Costa Júnior”. Só “mais tarde foi adquirida por Enrique Mantero Belard, após o declínio da fortuna de Pedro Costa Júnior, no final da Segunda Guerra Mundial”. Coube à sua mulher, Gertrudes Verdades de Faria, humanizar a casa e destiná-la “para servir de lar de repouso a artistas e pessoas da área da cultura”.

The Faria Mantero Residence enchants visitors.
Designed by the architect Vasco Regaleira in the late 1930's, this residence is an example of the revivalism that characterized the Portuguese architecture of the 1940s. The house was ordered to build by Pedro Costa Júnior. " Only "later was acquired by Enrique Mantero Belard, after the decline of Pedro Costa Júnior's fortune at the end of World War II." It was up to his wife, Gertrudes Verdades de Faria, to humanize the house and destine it "to serve as a home for rest to artists and people of the area of culture."
