Geocache Description:

A Fine Pair Maythorne

Number 1286 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.

The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.

The letter box is made by WT Allen & Co, London. It was the first lamp box to bear the EIIR cypher. It dates from the 1950s. The telephone kiosk is a K6 and unusually still retains a working phone.
