Sourton is a small village, and civil parish, located in West Devon. It is an historic village that has likely grown around the A386, and preceding roads, that is a main route along the western limit of Dartmoor. In the 2011 census the population of the town was recorded as 420 and contains a church and a public house. The latter of these is well known as an oddity, being crammed full of curiosities. I shan't describe it further as it is definitely a place that has to be experience to understand.
The village hall in Sourton is a post WWII addition. Fundraising was gathered by having whist drives and barn dances at a nearby farm, located in Sourton. The land that the village hall was constructed on was gifted to the parish by Leawood Estate and work was started in 1962. The building was finished on 13th September 1963.
To find the final for this cache go to the front of the village hall and find the wooden information board on the right of the front door and find the following information:
A = the third digit of the year at the top
B = the fourth digit of the year at the top
C = the number of characters in the second word on the second line (not including E or R)
D = the first digit of the year at the top
E = the number of characters in the middle word of the third line, not including the apostrophe
F = the second digit of the year at the top
