The Burns Breakfast.
For the last few years, cachers have gathered on a hill to celebrate the baird himself, yon Rabbie Burns, who in the 1700s left his home in Ayrshire and started putting ink to paper whilst he worked for the excise in Dumfries, where he died, and now lies in the Kirkyard. Though there is no need to head north to pay homage to the great baird himself, come along and encounter the outdoors whilst being provided with breakfast. Breakfast this year will be as per tradition :
HAGGIS
OR
BACON.
Though no fear of addressing the haggis, or the response by the lasses. The talk will be caching, or whatever you want to talk about. There may be the traditional pipe and Ceildh music. If you want to wear tartan then wear it, it is up to you, if you decide to wear a kilt, please be aware that this is an upland area, it may be cold, and windy, so you may want to come prepared. It is a walk in to the location, and it is January. The event will last from 0900 to 0930 on the 26/01/2019.
