De 15 caches die de kruizen vormen zijn alle vijftien traditionele caches. Ze verschillen qua vorm en grootte, maar zijn allemaal makkelijk te vinden. In de hint vind je een specifieke aanwijzing voor de cache die je nu voor je neus hebt. We wensen je heel veel plezier met de Amsterdam-trail. The 15 caches that form the crosses are all traditional caches. They differ from each other when looking at shape and size, but the are all easy to find. In the hint you will find a specific clue for the cache you are looking at now. We hope you enjoy doing this Amsterdam trail. Let us know in your final log whether you found them all!

Over deze locatie
Je bevindt je op en aan de Dijksgracht. De dijk, waarnaar gracht en straat genoemd zijn, werd eind 19de eeuw aangelegd om de Oostelijke Eilanden tegen verzanding vanuit het IJ te beschermen. Op het dijklichaam zelf ligt de spoorlijn van Amsterdam naar Utrecht/Hilversum.
Op een van de woonboten in de Dijksgracht heeft zanger Ramses Shaffy in de jaren zeventig gewoond. Dicht bij die plek stond de zg. ‘Shaffyboom”. De cache die daaraan was gewijd, GC153A4, is helaas gearchiveerd.
Aan de westkant, op de kop van de Dijksgracht, zijn enkele voorzieningen: een klimhal, diverse horeca, de culturele instelling Mediamatic en buurtmoestuin 'Shaffy's Tuin'.
NB De parkeergelegenheid in de straat is alleen voor bewoners. Kom svp op de fiets of lopend.

About this location
You are at the Dijksgracht, both street and water bear that name.
The ‘dijk’ (=(dike) has been raised at the end of the 19th century, to protect the ‘Oostelijke Eilanden’ (= the islands east of the centre of Amsterdam) from silting by sands from the IJ. On the dike itself is the railroad from Amsterdam Central Station to Utrecht.
At the western end of the Dijksgracht, some restaurants can be found. /p>
