Geocache Description:

This little free climb is located near the picturesque Dartmoor village of Belstone. Belstone is located within the boundary of Dartmoor National Park and offers some superb views and access onto the Moor. The population of Belstone is approximately 250 people and is located 3 miles from the town of Okehampton. The village is recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as 'Bellestam'. The village has a number of interesting features including a pair of stocks. From the village green there is a lovely view of Belstone Tor and Cosdon Hill as well as access to the River Taw at the bottom of the valley.

For this cache I suggest parking in Belstone itself. There is plenty of parking, and there is also often parking available at the very start of the footpath. From here head through the fields northwards and you will soon be at the cache. The free climb is relatively low, probably about 3-4 m high, and in a tree that has plenty of branches for hand and foot holds.

Neither myself nor Groundspeak accept any liabilty, you undertake this entirely at your own risk. Please use your discretion with regards to your ability and the conditions in which you attempt to this cache. But please have as much fun as you can :)

As with all extreme caches please only log a find if you have actually climbed up to the cache yourself. If you stay on the ground providing support then please feel free to share your experience with a note.
