Geocache Description:

I am doing a mini geocache series called Cache Calamity. This is the second one. Some will be traditional caches, some will be multi caches and some will be mystery caches. This one is all about Fetcham Park House. It was designed by William Talman, a British architect. He designed many different buildings including Swallowfield Park, Chatsworth House, St Anne's Chruch in Soho and of course, Fetcham Park House. The house is currently being used as offices, however it can also be hired out for weddings, meetings and other social events. The ground used to strecth from The Ridgeway down to Cobham Road. The entire area that is the mound, badingham drive and all the surrounding cul-de-sacs used to be the grounds of the house. Sources such as the doomsday book suggest that there was a house at Fetcham Park even before today's building was designed and constructed. An entrance to it is at the bottom of Badingham Drive, but the main entrance is at the top of St Mary's Close. If you're walking along the lower road wall towards Bookham, then you will go past a house that is right up to the pavement. If you stop and look at the driveway of this house, then you will be looking down the original entrance to Fetcham Park House. Up until the early 1900s, a family called The Hanky Family called it home. It was then used as a boarding school for boys until it closed and became offices. The posted coordinates will take you to the wall of Fetcham Park House. These coordinates will take you to the exact location of the informtion you need. You will need to walk along the wall until you find the information. The second bit of information you need is the year of Talman's birth: 1650. I have included this so this is a basic multi cache and not a mystery cache. Here is how to find the coordinates: What is the year written on the wall? Call this ABCD. What year was William Talman born? Call this EFGH. The cache is at: N 51° 17.D-B C-A H+D' W 0° 21.C÷D B-G F-B' *THE COORDINATES OF THE CACHE ARE VERY CLOSE TO THE POSTED COORDINATES. IF THE COORDINATES SAY FOR YOU TO GO MORE THAN 100 METRES, THEN YOU HAVE INPUTED THEM OR SOLVED THE CLUE WRONG* Good Luck!
