The Church is a very active centre for a wide range of services and activities . The site includes a Sunday School building and a Church Hall.
The Cache
The headline coordinates will take you up the drive to the front of the church.
Above the front door you will see two dates - the first two digits of the first date are worn away.
The Church was:
Built xxAB , and
Restored CBDA
Now walk to the left side of the church where you will see the Sunday School
The date over the Sunday School Door is CDEF
Checksum A+B+C+D+E+F= 24
The cache can be found at N 50 20.FF(F+C) W 004 47.(B-A)(C+A)(D-A-C-E)
The cache is a walk of about 350 metres away and can be reached by either:
- By walking up through the grounds of the Priory Car Park and Sedgemoor Priory (public right of way) and turning right to follow a short footpath and then over the railway bridge, or
- By driving the more adventurous route around the town to the opposite end of the High St and driving up the narrow, but permissible, one way street which is North Street (which widens after the first few yards) and approach the cache by driving over the railway bridge.
Proximity and private land issues force the cache to be some way from the church.
Please Bring Your Own Pen (BYOP) and take care to replace the cache exactly as per the hint for the convenience of those following you.
The cache is a 35mm film pot magnetically attached - DO NOT DROP IT- IT WILL BE GONE FOR GOOD!!!
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CACHE AT NIGHT
