Geocache Description:

This multi-cache is found at Blackingstone Rock. As promised we have placed this cache in replacement of the original Stairway to Heaven cache placed by WillDeBeast back in 2005 which unfortunately was archived. Blackingstone Rock or Blackystone, as it is often known has an elevation of over 1,000 feet, a point from which a magnificent view is to be had on a clear day. According to William Crossing Blackingstone Rock is here because many years ago King Arthur and the Devil fell out. King Arthur took his stand here and the Devil stood where Hel Tor is today. It was decided that the best way to settle the argument was by hurling a large quoit at each other. As the quoits hit the ground they turned to stone resulting in Blackingstone Rock and Hel Tor. Considering Hel Tor is 1.2 miles north east of Blackingstone they must have had a very long throw!
