This cache is owned and maintained by Lake Metigoshe State Park. Please know that there is a state park entrance fee in the amount of $7/vehicle/day or $35 for an annual pass. You may park by the old kitchen/dining hall located near Slemmen cabin.
This cache is located near Lake McDonald, which is attached to Lake Metigoshe via a small channel that at times is blocked due to beaver activity. Lake McDonald is great to explore via canoe and/or kayak or while hiking along the Hemerick Point Trail, Cub Loop or Tenderfoot Trail.
