It has been well over a year since your last adventure in Hyrule. You have spent that time enjoying Hyrule's peace by staying in Kikori Villiage. Recently the skies have been darkening and a feeling of dread has overtaken the land. Navi has just rushed in to bring you a message from the Deku Tree. She sprinkles dust onto a fallen leaf and and a frail image of the Deku Tree appears in light. Her leaves are ruffled, her bark seems more gray than brown, and her voice seems scarred. She speaks, but the words barely make it out. "Link. The light in Death Mountain has been restored. Zelda is missing. Retrieve the White Sword. What Hath God Wrought?" The tree groans in pain, then it's gray bark darkens, and she falls as message closes. You must retrieve the sword.

It has been years since you returned the sword to the old man behind the waterfall. Navi has brought you a coded parchment, that if solved, could lead you to his new hidden location.

It is time for you to solve the puzzle below, hit the trails, locate the long lost White Sword, and once again bring peace to Hyrule.

Those coordinates bring you to the trail head on the Zelda 2 style map below. Follow the arrows to the location, and legend mentions that there you will find the Sword under a log. The trip is not very long, only .2 miles from the start to the bridge (as the crow flies), and about 450 feet or so to the island of trees. You can take the south fork for a shorter walk and to avoid the tiny swamp of despair, but you may get your feet wet crossing the raging creek.
