Geocache Description:

This is a simple off-set multi. The co-ordinates listed are for the first question. The cache is not in the grounds of the church. You can park in the road at the front but it is a narrow road so keep in tight and be careful.

Religious Society Of Friends, Come-to-Good

This place of worship was built in 1710 and is an adaptation of another earlier building. The roof timbers were transfered and the windows were reclaimed from Penelewey Barton which was being modernised at that time. The original doorway was where the middle window is now and the windows to the left and right have recently been dated from the early 17th century with some glass dating from the 1640s

By 1717there was need for more seating and the gallery (or loft) inside was built at a cost of £15 10s 0d - (£15.50).

Interior including the Gallery or loft.

At one point in the past, only four meetings a year was held at Come-to-Good, but gradually it became used more regularly.
In 1966 repairs were urgently needed, and through the kindness of neighbours providing land, it became possible to add modern amenities without spoiling its age old atmosphere.
Meetings for worship continue to be held in this building each Sunday at 10:30 and all are welcome.

End view and entrance to building

Many have found the building a quiet refuge and is kept open so that all may enjoy this place where ordinary men and women have met to worship for over 300 years.
This place of worship is in Jenkins's book of "The top 1000 Churches in England"
