As temperaturas atingiram este sábado valores nunca vistos em 26 locais do país, de acordo com o Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera. Por volta das 17 horas, 16 estações de medição em Portugal Continental estavam acima dos 45 graus
As temperaturas estavam às 17h00 deste sábado acima dos 45 graus em 16 das 96 estações de medição de Portugal continental, segundo o Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (IPMA), que aponta novos máximos históricos em 26 locais. Estes dados representam mais 14 estações acima dos 45 graus em relação a sexta-feira, referiu o Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (IPMA), em comunicado.
A temperatura mais elevada registada até às 17h00 foi 46,8 graus, em Alvega, a que se seguiram: Santarém/F. Boa (46,3°), Alcácer do Sal (46,2°), Coruche e Alvalade do Sado (46,1°), Pegões (46,0º), Neves Corvo (45,8°), Setúbal (45,5°), Évora e Tomar (45,4°), Reguengos e Amareleja (45,3°), Avis, Viana do Alentejo e Portel (45,2°) e Mora (45,1°). De acordo com o IPMA, foram hoje batidos recordes históricos de temperatura máxima em 26 estações desde que há medições.
"No dia 4 de agosto (até às 17h00), foram excedidos os extremos absolutos da temperatura máxima em cerca de 30% das estações", lê-se no comunicado que destaca também que "entre os dias 02 e 04, os anteriores extremos foram excedidos em 40% das estações".
Alcácer do Sal (46,2 graus), Alcobaça (42,8º), Alcoutim (44,7º), Alvalade do Sado (46,1º), Alvega (46,8º), Ansião (43,4º), Avis/Benavila (45,2º), Coimbra (41,3º), Coruche (46,1º), Estremoz (44,6º), Évora (45,4º), Figueira da Foz (40,8º), Lisboa/Tapada (44º), Lisboa/Príncipe Real (43,3º) e Lisboa/Gago Coutinho (44º) atingiram hoje os seus máximos históricos.
No caso de Lisboa, os 44 graus Celsius hoje registados na avenida Gago Coutinho constituem um novo recorde da temperatura na capital, ultrapassando os 43º sentidos no aeroporto a 14 de junho de 1981.
Também Mora (45,1º), Neves Corvo (45,8º), Pegões (46º), Portalegre (41,9º), Rio Maior (44,9º), Sagres (40,4º), Santarém/F. Boa (46,3º), Setúbal (45,5º), Tomar (45,4º), Torres Vedras (44,8º) e a Zambujeira (42,8º) alcançaram hoje temperaturas sem precedentes.
Na previsão para os próximos dias, o IPMA indica que "até dia 06 de agosto, a temperatura máxima do ar, em grande parte do território continental, irá registar valores da ordem de 40 graus".
Para domingo, refere que "apesar de haver tendência para uma pequena descida da temperatura, em vários locais do Alentejo, vales dos rios Douro e Tejo e na Beira Baixa a temperatura máxima poderá ainda atingir 45 graus e, num ou outro local, ultrapassar este valor".
Também "os valores da temperatura mínima continuam muito elevados, atingindo valores próximos de 25°C em grande parte do território, aproximando-se de 30°C em alguns locais do interior Centro e Sul, em especial no Alto Alentejo", indica o organismo.
Na segunda-feira, "a temperatura deverá registar uma descida, sendo acentuada a descida da temperatura máxima no litoral oeste", ao passo que no dia 7 de agosto, terça-feira, o IPMA prevê "uma descida da temperatura em todo o território, com exceção do Algarve, devendo os valores mais altos da temperatura máxima atingir valores próximos de 35 graus no Alentejo e Algarve, e entre 24 e 30 graus no litoral oeste".
