Geocache Description:

These caches are ment to show and keep a record about a railroad, whose history dates back to 1892, but is almost forgotten by now - the railroad 86, from Bourgas to Pomorie.

It has been built in 1939 and extensively used until early '60es. Its minimum curve radius is 256 m and maximum gradient 14 ‰.
The railway goes from "Vladimir Pavlov" station, passes through the west part of the city, passes around the former racetrack and then it reaches the park and the sea. There it continues along Atanasovsko Lake, reaches the Bourgas salt pans, passing about 3 km from the "Cherno more" mine. In concern of the mine, the new station "Sarafovo" is built almost 3 km from the old one. From there the track leads to "Laka" station, which is serving the villages of Laka, Kamenar and Kableshkovo, then "Loza", "Pomorian monastery" and finally Pomorie station.
Passenger transport has ended in 1971. It is hard to say if the railroad is still used, most probably not at all.

You can find plenty of information here and here.

About the caches: Unfortunately geocaching in Bulgaria is lately having some troubles, mostly because of an ex- geomate, who went crazy and started stealing caches.
Trying to preserve the game, caches are evolving into more difficult (speaking of terrain or puzzles) or , on the contrary, into more SIMPLE, COSTLESS boxes. In our case, caches consist ONLY of a logbook (BYOP!). If happens that you cannot find it, FEEL FREE to LOG and/or RESTORE in whatever form you can.
