On the perimeter and inside most any municipality there lies land that is not filled with homes or commercial buildings, creating edges where the city meets the country. Often these areas exist due to rapid growth, land poorly suited for development, or land still used for farming/ranching because the owners prefer to continue using it as they have for many years within their family unit.-
Parks, open spaces, recreation areas and even cemeteries along with undeveloped land all contribute to the edge effect within and adjacent to cities where country type areas meld with buildings, homes and streets creating the unique things associated with country – crops and natural land coverings, birds, wild animals, and farm animals – affording opportunities for us to observe and enjoy.-
To find the cache, solve the crossword puzzle and decipher the code contained within. You can check your answer by clicking the Certitude link and when you are successful, the Certitude page supplies further information/hints to access the cache. Difficulty is based on decoding the puzzle and steps required to access the cache. This cache is not well suited to relying entirely on a phone app. Terrain rating assumes the use of a TOTT as some may need one. Accessing the cache will not require any changes to its location or in how and where it resides. Print the puzzle (page 1 and page 2) to solve with pencil and paper.-

- This is intended to be a challenge – something to stretch your mind. If you are up for that, this is for you. It is my hope this cache will be fun and unique.-
- Clues have escaped since The Edge Effect has been published so, in fairness to all solvers/hunters, an update has been provided to even the playing field and add something new-
- A wrong puzzle answer might work in place of the intended word when decoded. Decode the ones you are sure of then see if the questionable ones work in.

- You must sign and date the physical log sheet located in the cache container to claim a Find on the website. Optional but not required, you may post a photo of your log signature – if you do, be sure the cache name printed on the log sheet is in the same picture as your signature. Website "Find" logs without a corresponding cache log will be erased.-
- Website logs should contain no spoilers either in the text or photos you may upload.-
- The first person to find and access the cache will discover a small treasure to keep as a reward.-
