Geocache Description:

Entering Maloja from the South
Entering Maloja from the South

Once upon a time there was a cache at the Maloja Pass, 1815m a.s.l.
It was born... well, it was hidden on July 31, 2006 and called by its father, Swiss Jim Hawkins, MoCache_CH49 Maloja.
During twelve years, GCXEEP (that's how it was called between the adepts) has met many friends, 1.082 - we can say it for sure!
On June 16, 2018 the owner decided to retire it... well, to archive it.

All right, that's the story, so far as I know. I felt blue last week when I visited it to drop off a TB finding that the place was empty and that the cache has been archived.
So I thought: hey, why do not place a new cache to remember GCXEEP? And I went for a letterbox.

THE LETTERBOX

Here it is! There are three ways you can get it:
1) Empirical. From the Maloja sign (listed coordinates) follow the road downhill for about 140 steps. Then look left. You can't be wrong, it's there.
2) Projection. From the listed coordinates go for 115 meters of distance, with a bearing of 183,8°
3) Investigation. The clue is... GCXEEP.

Inside the letterbox you'll find:
- the logbook
- a pencil
- the stamp (IT MUST REMAIN IN THE LETTERBOX!)
- (maybe) some swags
- (maybe) some TBs/GCs

PLEASE DO NOT LOG PICTURES OF THE LETTERBOX AND OF THE LOGBOOK. LET THE GEOCACHERS WHO'LL COME AFTER YOU TO ENJOY THE CACHE IN THE SAME WAY!
