This is New York's first Augmented Reality (AR) geocache! And is one of the first 50 AR caches in the world. The cache is not at the posted coordinates.
Young Billy, the bison tube, is lost! Can you help him find his mother? You can complete the AR experience from anywhere and will be rewarded with the coordinates to the cache upon completion.
The cache itself is a small, rectangular lock & lock style container. This cache is NOT available at all times and a sign at the trailhead states that the trail is open during daylight hours only. There is a letterbox nearby so be sure you're finding the cache and not the letterbox. I did see some poison ivy in the area of GZ so I would suggest wearing pants if you're allergic.
You will need to use an android or Apple phone to complete this cache. This Augmented Reality experience can be played using the Metaverse app which you can find here at the links below for your corresponding device.
