łrzędne wirtualnego etapu skrytki wskazują wody jeziora Wigry, które jest sercem Wigierskiego Parku Narodowego. Jest to jezioro o urozmaiconej linii brzegowej, z licznymi wyspami i półwyspami. Jest to zarazem jedno z najczystszych jezior w Polsce. W jego wodach żyją 32 gatunki ryb. Część z nich jest odławiana, a za szczególne przysmaki uchodzą, rzadkie w innych jeziorach Polski, sielawa, sieja i stynka.
W skład WPN wchodzą również otaczające jezioro lasy i inne mniejsze jeziora. Żyją wśród nich liczne bobry. To właśnie na tym terenie znajdowała się po II wojnie światowej jedna z ostatnich ostoi tych zwierząt w Polsce i stąd rozprzestrzeniły się na resztę kraju i inne części Europy. Występują tutaj także m.in. wilki, rysie i łosie. Do pobliskiej Puszczy Augustowskiej reintrodukowano niedawno żubry, stąd szansa, że mogą one pojawić się wkrótce także i w WPN . Na terenie Parku można też podziwiać liczne gatunki ptaków, w tym orła bielika, orła przedniego, bociana czarnego, czy przepięknego zimorodka.
Mimo że jezioro Wigry i otaczające je tereny są parkiem narodowym, można tutaj uprawiać (pod określonymi warunkami) wiele form turystyki. Na samym jeziorze możliwe jest wędkowanie i uprawianie sportów wodnych (żeglarstwo, kajaki). Istnieje tutaj też bogata sieć szlaków turystycznych – pieszych, rowerowych i przeznaczonych do uprawiania narciarstwa biegowego.

Coordinates of the cache indicate the waters of Lake Wigry, which is the heart of the Wigry National Park. It is a lake with a varied coastline, characterised by numerous islands and peninsulas. It is also one of the cleanest lakes in Poland. 32 species of fish live in its waters. Some of them, like vendace, European whitefish or smelt are rare in other lakes of Poland and considered real delicacies.
WPN also includes the surrounding forests and other smaller lakes. It is home to numerous beavers. This area was one of the last refuges of these animals in Poland after World War II and it was from here that they spread to Poland and other European countries. Visitors can also meet wolves, lynxes, elks and the European bison (Bison bonasus) recently reintroduced to the forest near WNP. In the Park you can also see numerous species of birds, including the white-tailed eagle, golden eagle, black stork or the beautiful kingfisher.
Although Lake Wigry and the surrounding areas are a national park, you can practise (under certain conditions) many forms of tourism here. On the lake itself it is possible to angle and do water sports (sailing, canoeing). In the Park there is also a rich network of trails – for walking, cycling and cross-country skiing.
