Is this the trail the escaped buffalo followed or the trail to follow to locate the escaped buffalo? Take the challenge and find out for yourself. This trail is located along Song Dog Road located southeast of Pringle. For the most part the road is graveled or rocked and suitable for all but the lowest clearance vehicles. There are some rocky spots that will require slow going. All caches are within 200 feet of the road in various types of terrain. There are several different cache types and sizes to look for.
There are some different habitats in the southern Black Hills and you will also travel through several old forest fires. So get your caching pants on and hit the Buffalo Trail. As always have fun and replace the caches as you find them.
