War Memorial #435 We will remember them ~ Copmanthorpe
The memorial is on a small green to the south of St Giles Church at the point that Church Street merges into Main Street.
The cross stands in a metal fenced area of gravel. It stands on a 2 stepped base, the upper step having the names. There is then a tapering plinth inscribed wth the dedication. The cross is a plain undecorated cross with a sword point downwards with the pommels and hilt terminating in a trefoil
