Het Rijzenwiel is een mooi stukje natuur in Ablasserdam. Leuk om rond te wandelen, bij te vissen of in te varen! Hieronder wat informatie over hoe een wiel ontstaat.
Doorbraakgaten zijn de zichtbare getuigen van dijkdoorbraken, achtergebleven in het landschap. Het zijn waterplassen vlak achter de dijken. Door de kracht van het naar buiten stromende en rondkolkende water bij een dijkdoorbraak ontstonden op veel plaatsen vlak achter de dijken diepe gaten: de doorbraakgaten, ook wel kolkgaten genoemd. Andere namen zijn wielen of waaien. In het landschap zien we ze terug als kleine diepe poelen.
Over de cache:
Er is ruimte voor kleine TB's of Goodies. Let wel! TB out is TB in / Goodie out is Goodie in. Zo houden we het leuk voor iedereen.
Het kan er druk zijn. Voorzichtigheid kan dus geboden zijn bij het zoeken. Laat de cache ook weer goed achter!

Breakthrough holes are the visible witnesses of dyke breaches, left behind in the landscape. They are puddles right behind the dikes. Because of the force of the outflowing and bubbling water in a dike breakthrough, many holes were created just behind the dykes in many places: the breakthrough holes, also called vortex holes. Other names are wheels or blows. In the landscape we see them as small deep pools.
About the cache:
There is room for small TB's or Goodies. Please note! TB out is TB in / Goodie out is Goodie in. That's how we keep it fun for everyone.
It can be busy. Caution may therefore be required in the search. Leave the cache well again!
