Dartmoor Adventures - There And Back Again
My father and I have always talked about how Fur Tor was the place we wanted to get to but that we may not ever be able to make it due to my father suffereing a leg amutation quite some time ago. He always thought this was just too far.
I have worked hard on my navigating and improved my knowlage of the moor so i could take care of that side of things plus building both of our kits up so we could make an attempt. We camped over night at the summit of Fur Tor on the 14/04/2018 and made the walk back on the 15th. We experianced everything Dartmoor has to offer apart from a dusting of snow and we wouldnt have changed it for anything. It was glorious sunshine on the Saturday and rained from 3 a.m till we got picked up at 4 p.m on the Sunday.
This cache has been placed to mark us making this trip and showing my dad that we can do and will continue to do anything we want.
