Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. It is a park and grab in a public area, so stealth will be required. Please bring your own pen or pencil. In order to obtain the actual coordinates, you must first solve the following puzzle:

You are at a public auction where you see an item that really catches your eye. You think to yourself “I would really like to take that home today”. When it is time to start the bidding, you make sure you are front and center. The auctioneer starts – “This is a fine item, let’s start the bidding at $5, do I hear $5?” “$5 over here” you say. The auctioneer says “I have $5, do I hear $6?”. Someone in the crowd says “$6”. The auctioneer says “I have $6, do I hear $7?” You say “$7!” The auctioneer says “I have $7, do I hear an $8?” Some guy a few rows back yells “$15”. The crowd gasps. The auctioneer says “I now have $15, do I hear $16? Going once, going twice..”. You yell “$16!”. The auctioneer says “I now have $16....” The same guy yells “$20!”. The crowd gasps again. You yell “$21!!!”. The auctioneer says “I have $21, do I hear $22? Going once, going twice, SOLD! The item has been sold to you for $21!” The guy a few rows back is pleased that he drove the price of the item up. You are pleased because you have acquired the item. Now you need to go collect it and pay.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
