A micro cache at the site of a former railway station on the Bristol Harbour Railway, some of which is still open to heritage rides. However, this section from Hotwells to Vauxhall Bridge has been transformed into a bus lane for the new Metrobus development. The track ran across the large silver bridge you see in front of you.
Very little remains of the station here even though it existed until 2014. Many people would never know one existed here if it wasn't for the signpost outlining recent history:
This area is now named Butterfly Junction, as the dense shrubs and hedgerows are home to 12 different types of butterfly. That said, I've never seen any!
Make sure to exercise stealth when retrieving and replacing; the nearby building is a visitor centre and can get very busy at times.
