The Yarra Expedition Part 9: Yarra Glen to Woori Yallock Follow the path, and journey to the source. These are not metaphors. They are instructions. The Event Series This is the 9th event in an expedition to cache along the entire course of the Yarra river. The purpose of this event series is to travel the river from its end to beginning and see it in all its form, its diversity, who it homes, its changes, bends and beauty. The 8th event will have us meeting in the Yarra Valley. The Event PART 9 The event will be held at the posted coordinates at 8:45AM. The event will run for 45min where there will be a chance to catch up and chat, enjoy a coffee and share stories. Following the event At 9:30am we will depart for the next leg of the Yarra Expedition. After much research and inside info, it appears this section of the Yarra is just too long and choked to paddle, and there are no walking or bike paths along it, so we will be traversing this by vehicle stopping along the way for caches that follow the river, with a deviation for a short hike on the way! You are welcome to plan your own convoy or discuss with friends who wants to car pool. A caching plan following the river and paying tribute to it has been put together with the help and recommendations of some local cachers, and an itinerary will be handed out closer to the event. We will be finishing with a late lunch at Cunninghams Pub in Yarra Junction. Please note, you do no need to join subsequent activities to log the morning event.
