Geocache Description:

Time for my Seventh Annual CITO (BONUS EDITION) event to help clean up the environment we love so much! Without these Open Spaces, where would we hide our caches? In lamp posts??? The previous CITO Events here were great successes. Let's make this one even better!

This event will get you the April CITO Souvenir, not that it takes a special digital icon to get you to come help clean ~LOL~ I kid; it definitely helps! I am doing two back-to-back for two reasons: offer more opportunities for people to help, and get more done this year.

I am an Official Douglas County Open Space volunteer, so I will be heading it up this year with the help of natural resource specialist Jackie S. This event will begin at 2:00pm, and go until 4:00pm.

We will be focusing on Mullein Removal this year, and if we have enough volunteers, we will also continue to clean the frontage road that we've worked on previously. For those who have been coming, there is a NOTICEABLE difference in the park from what we have removed, thanks!

Provided: Trash bags by Douglas County Open Space (DCOS), bottled water and snacks by DCOS, 2016/2017 GCCO Geocoins for purchase, and other prizes may be available as well provided by hosts.

Bring: Yourself, your family, your friends, ready to work! Gloves, extra water and snacks, shovel or weeding tools if you have any, jeans are recommended too.

Waivers will need to be signed, and will be provided on site. Any minors will need a waiver signed by the parent or guardian as well. Please RSVP so I can plan assignments. Many hands make light work!

Previous year events:
2012 - 2013 - 2014 - 2015 - 2016 - 2017
