Geocache Description:

A cryptic list within a list.

It seems that the Montrose List may have run its race and as the Montrose trail itself has long been left behind it may be appropriate to create a Tribute cache to celebrate the development of this physically challenging trail in a beautiful area of the Wellington Ranges.

The major award goes to The Barad Bunch who developed the idea and its related concepts (and placed the greatest number of caches) and special mention to all of the cachers who contributed to its ultimate success as a geocaching trail.

The Honour Board for the Trail looks like this

To solve the puzzle, you will need to refer to the details of caches in the Montrose list set and the information tallied above.

Now to the final cache

Antipodes

The skins of a brewed drink of many hundreds; the early discoveries of her and him;

A stash secreted by rather awful felines; a jail breaker’s pelts;

Did he leave any skins hanging; a stash secreted by an island based bird trying to find its way; the skins of an ancient canonised person plus 1.

Oriental

The basic stash of owl-like creatures in the southern climes; our first stash;

The difficult boulder stash of the first mob;

Our early discoveries less X; an appropriately hilly stash for her and him; pelts of that southern bird.
