Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of 5 caches that will take you on a beautiful journey through the mountain ranges on both sides of Lucas Valley Road. This series is meant to promote teamwork and caching with friends.

There are three ways to complete this series:

Option A: Do it by yourself. If you choose this path you will likely have hiked 50 miles in these hills before you complete them all. (Not Recommended)

Option B: Do it with 2 people. 1 person on Big Rock Ridge and 1 on Loma Alta. (Not the best option)

Option C: Do it with 2 teams of at least 2 people so you have a friend to chat with on the long hike. (Highly Recommended)

For options B&C, One group will start at Loma Palooza #1 and the other will start at Big Rock Cache Fest #1. There are 4 Multi-Caches, and 1 Unknown caches. There are also 4 extra caches along the way that do not have a code for the final. Each of the Multi-Caches is three stages and will provide coordinates for the 2nd, and 3rd stage all of which are on the opposite ridge of the previous stage. A form of communication will be necessary to complete most of this series in 1 day as you will need to work as a team to get the coordinates for the next stage. There is excellent cell phone service throughout the whole area. The caches are spaced approx the same distance as your partnering team's cache to keep either team from waiting too long for you to catch up. If you are doing this in 1 car the Team that is doing the Big Rock Ridge side should be dropped off first. The other team will proceed to the parking location for the Loma Alta side. You will either need two sets of keys or need to hide the key where the other team can find it. A Hide-a-key works great...but modern keys don't always fit. I tested this with a friend and we used a strong magnet and taped it around the key. It kept the car from detecting it so the doors could not be opened. Don't forget this step or you will have a long walk back to the car. The team on the Big Rock Ridge side will end up at the same location the Loma Alta team started. They will pick up the team on the Loma Alta side. After both sides are complete you will have all the information you need to solve the puzzle and get the final which is not a hike...just a short walk.

Don't forget to write down the code that you will need for the final. I would highly recommend that you take a picture of the log sheet to to minimize the chance that you write the code down incorrectly or that you forget which cache the code came from.

Stage 2 Hint certitude.
