Uchon, surnommé La Perle du morvan, possède du caractère de par sa situation unique. Si vous parcourez ce territoire, vous rencontrerz le calme à travers les nombreux étangs entourés de forêts de feuillus, mais aussi la puissance à travers cette fois ses chaos granitiques impressionnants.

Uchon, nicknamed The Pearl of the Morvan, has character by its unique situation. If you roam this territory, you will encounter calm through the many ponds surrounded by deciduous forests, but also the power through this time its impressive granite chaos.
Le granit, à l’air libre, peut subir différentes altérations.
En effet la roche exposé aux intempéries subit l'action du gel et de l'hiver morvandiau. La roche granitique, fracturée et diaclasée, est fragilisée par ces éléments structurels. Par ailleurs, les minéraux du granite réagissent aussi lorsqu'ils sont soumis à des variations de température brutale entre le jour et la nuit: il se dilate de façon différentielle ce qui a pour effet d’augmenter la fissuration de la roche.
Dans la même idée, l'eau stagnante au sommet des roches fait éclater les fissures en gelant( la glace occupe un volume plus important que l'eau liquide). Ce phénomène a été particulièrement important il y a environ 100 000 ans et 20 000 ans lorsque les températures régionales était plus basse et les précipitations plus importante qu'à notre époque.
Granite, in the open air, can undergo different alterations.
In fact the rock exposed to the weather undergoes the action of frost and winter morvandiau. Granitic rock, fractured and diaclasated, is weakened by these structural elements. On the other hand, granite minerals also react when subjected to sudden temperature changes between day and night: it dilates in a differential manner, which increases the cracking of the rock.
In the same way, the stagnant water at the top of the rocks breaks the cracks by freezing (the ice occupies a larger volume than the liquid water). This phenomenon was particularly important around 100,000 years ago and 20,000 years ago when regional temperatures were lower and precipitation was greater than in our time.
