Geocache Description:

A traditional cache placed in a beautiful, hidden corner of the Brecon Beacons. This can be done as a cache'n'dash.

This is a nod to the Grimms Fairy Tale 'The Elves and the Shoemaker', a story of a poor shoemaker who get much needed help from some elves.  After giving away the last pair of shoes he had made to a needy lady, the shoemaker cuts out pieces for a pair of shoes from his last piece of leather.  Overnight some elves stitched together the shoes which the shoemaker is able to sell for more money than usual and enabling him to pay off his debts, buy food and enough leather for two pairs of shoes.  Again he cuts out the pieces to sew the next day and again the elves stitched together the shoes overnight ..... the story continues

You will find the Shoemaker's Arms near by and I think the cache is near an area where the elves could live. Be careful you don't frighten them away.

Please also replace the stone on top of the box.

**** Congratulations to Wavydale (Mr Wubbs) for being FTF!***

Cache place with kind permission from Powys County Council.

Don't forget to visit 'Eloise's Box GC3Q4H5 near by.

The Little Bridges series was started by Stanthews in 2009 to highlight small footbridges in remote parts of Wiltshire. Since then the series has been expanded by others all over the country and starting to spread fast. There is a stats listing run by Bloodsock, so you can see how many Little Bridges you have found, you can find it here:- https://littlebridgesseries.wordpress.com/ . If you would like to add to the series, please contact Stan on stanthews@aol.com and he will give you a number for your bridge, to qualify, the bridge must be a foot bridge too small for vehicles, please make sure your title exactly matches “Little Bridges # xxxx then the name” including spaces so it will get picked up and added to stats list.
