Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

Hopefully if you're planning to go and find this one, you will know you are going to Dartmoor. Now the weather on Dartmoor is unpredictable, a bit like geocaching itself, and it could go from a bright sunny day to a hailstorm before you can say, 'Is it going to rain?'. With that in mind, please ensure you are adequately attired for your moorland march to this cache - I would advise taking a map and compass with you in case your normally trusty GPS fails and the fog comes down. That way nobody will need to phone me, the emergency services or anyone else for help!

Also, this cache is located within the Okehampton Firing Range, where live firing occurs, hence the name. Before going out to find the cache please check the Firing Times which can be found online. Regardless, if you see the red flags, do not enter the range, you may meet an unhappy ending by being blown to smithereens. Do not pick up anything you find on the ground, it may explode and you could, again, meet an unhappy ending

So, you're prepared for the weather, you've checked the firing times, you know not to take discarded ammunition home as souvenirs...you should be all set to go. Ah, did I tell you that you had to solve a puzzle? Well, you do... A good thing to do on a rainy day maybe?

In order to get the final coordinates, say what you see! Complete the following Rebus puzzles, all based on Dartmoor. You need to work out to which Dartmoor feature each picture clue refers, they are all identifiable on an OS 1:25000 map. When you have your locations, you need to convert letters to numbers and do some maths to get the coordinates. In all cases a=1, b=2, c=3 and so on.

The final cache can be found at N50 4A.BCD W004 0E.FGH, and you will have a great view of the surrounding moorland.

There's an unactivated geocoin for the FTF
