Výletní restaurace MONACO ve Slatiňanech
Monaco je podnikem se silným geniem loci – dodnes dýchá atmosférou první republiky. Odjakživa je vyhledávaným místem k zábavě a odpočinku. Častými návštěvníky zde byli lesníci knížete Ausperga, kteří sem chodili hrát karty. Díky krásnému okolí si restauraci oblíbili například básníci Jaroslav Vrchlický či S. K. Neumann. Rodina majitelů si už od 30. let 20. století vede knihu významných hostů. Původně celodřevěnou stavbu vyrobili v roce 1903 na zakázku truhlář Antonín Šťástka a tesaři z Drobílkovy pily ve Slatiňanech jako pavilon pro Východočeskou výstavu v Pardubicích. Majitel pily Josef Drobílek stavbu odkoupil a již v roce 1904 ji umístil ve Slatiňanech nad Škrovádem. V roce 1910 byla restaurace přesunuta na dnešní místo. Původně se restaurace jmenovala podle pana Drobílka, později se ujal název Monaco. V roce 1934 získala podnik v dražbě rodina Buřilových. Komunistický režim sice restauraci Monaco znárodnil, ale Buřilovi zde zůstali jako zaměstnanci družstva Jednota. V roce 1991 svůj podnik získali zpět a od té doby jej opět provozují ve vlastní režii.

Popular restaurant Monaco in Slatiňany
Monaco has a strong atmosphere of the first republic. It has been popular place for a rest and fun. This reastaurant was also popular place for example for poet Jaroslav Vrchlický or S. K. Neumann. Its owners have had Book of important guests since 1930s.
The originally building was only woden and was used as a pavilion for the East Bohemian exhibition in Pardubice. Than Josef Drobílek, owner of sawmill, bought this building and placed it in Škrovád near Slatiňany in 1904. The restaurant was moved on today´s spot in 1910. The original name of restaurant was different, but later it was called Monaco. The Buřil´s family got Monaco in an auction in 1934 and they added brick part. Since 1945 the outside seating and dance floor were constructed. After 1948 the communist governement nationalized the restaurant, but Buřils stayed here as employees. They obtained their restaurant back in restitution in 1991 and they have ran the own restaurant again since this year.
