We have been coming over from the UK to South Africa for many years now. When we joined the Geocaching community in 2008, South Africa presented us with a whole new caching world with a lot of memorable experiences never to be forgotten.
In those early years, we met up with sy-chispa and have spent many happy caching days together - both in the Cape and more recently in the UK as well as they have become 'reverse swallows' having estabished a UK base very near to our UK home. And we are still caching together - unless the terrain gets above 2.5, then we are alone!
Back in July 2011, we held a similar event cache at Dunes in order to give our thanks to all the CO's who have given us so much fun over here and taken us to wonderful locations.
Over more recent years we have noticed a new generation of CO's have come onto the scene giving us continuing geocaching fun. Thanks guys.
This event is to say Thanks again for all the fun you have given us - and continue to do so.
The Event is a Breakfast buffet (at attendees expense) with a range of prices, including a children's option - so please bring them.
Oh, and by the way, we (j4pos and sy-chispa) are celebrating our Golden wedding anniversaries either side of this event. And there will be a few new caches to find on the day....
And finally to those CO's and cachers we don't see or hear much of these days, please try to come along!
