This cache is located near by to the entrance of this Victorian show cave. A short walk uphill from the road. CHILDREN NEED SUPERVISION IN THE CAVE AND SURROUNDING AREA!
A TORCH IS ESSENTIAL IF YOU WANT TO GO IN THE CAVE.
Yordas cave has long since fallen into disrepair.Once you are past the low entrance it opens to a very large cavern. There is a waterfall in the far right corner and a large window has been cut out of the limestone curtain so visitors can view the spectacle. I went in to the cave after I placed the cache with my 12 yr old daughter, bringing my wellingtons would have been usefull as the whole floor of the cave was a stream!! but we managed to pick our way across the floor to the waterfall, which was very impressive.
