Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the posted coordinates.

This puzzle is somewhat of a departure from the type of puzzles I normally put out, but many of the area COs have to bear part of the responsibility for this one!  How else would I have discovered the inspiration for this cache if I hadn’t spent many, many hours solving their puzzles.  Each one of their puzzles sent me on wild internet searches which often took me to interesting, but all too often, totally useless sites.

Surely you can understand why those searches could sometimes lead me to sites that might, perhaps, be the basis for a puzzle of my own.  Many of you curse the very basis for this puzzle, but just be aware, it may have been YOUR puzzle that encouraged me.  Anyone who has solved more than a few puzzles understands this rabbit hole!  Let’s be honest--many of us have published our own puzzles based on this type of research.  Look at some of your own puzzles and see if you are guilty.

Ciphers are the basis for many of our puzzles, but it doesn’t matter how many ciphers we think we know, there is always one more lurking out there somewhere.  Only a few of you seem to know most of them (you know who you are!)  Details are always important and that is one of my weaknesses.  Every time I start a new puzzle, it is like I have never solved any others.

Before you give up in despair, remember that ciphers were used to send messages that only the intended recipient could decipher easily.  One of you will be triumphant and your name will show up on the first line of the list of solvers. One of you will put this in your “to be solved some other time--like never” folder!  Keep in mind that I get it, but at the same time you might run into your own new puzzle material while trying to solve this one.

So here we go:

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
