Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates. You have to solve the puzzle below to get the actual coordinates.

Many years ago I was in Bend, Oregon riding my bike down NE Butler Market Rd. When I got to NE Brinson Blvd I noticed a surveyor working right in the middle of the intersection. He had his theodolite positioned over the point where the centerlines of each road intersect. He was protected from traffic by lane closures and had concrete barriers surrounding him.

Then several years later I was in Alexandria, Virginia and I was walking down Prince St and when I got to South Pitt St I saw the same surveyor doing the same work in the middle of the intersection. Like in Bend, his theodolite was positioned over the point where the centerlines of each road intersect and he was again protected from traffic by lane closures and had concrete barriers surrounding him.

I thought it was incredible that I saw the same guy doing the same work several years later and thousands of miles away!

Please bring a pen or pencil. $ for FTF.

Congrats to GoldenStateBoy and toycruiser for FTF!
