O Azores Airlines Rallye é uma prova desportiva que, sem sombra de dúvida, é um dos melhores veículos de promoção dos Açores enquanto destino turístico.
PE LAGOA STAGE
A Lagoa Stage fez a sua estreia no Azores Airlines Rallye, em 2017, a contar para o Campeonato FIA da Europa de Ralis (FIA ERC), depois de ter sido estreada no verão anterior, aquando de uma prova do Campeonato dos Açores de Ralis. Os seus 2.14 quilómetros de extensão permitirão aos concorrentes experienciar um misto de pisos de asfalto e terra, num género de antevisão do que pode ser esperado durante os três dias de prova.
A Lagoa Stage foi a prova especial de abertura da 52.ª edição do Rali dos Açores, o Azores Airlines Rallye de 2017, e foi transmitida em direto através do canal do Youtube do evento, disponível em www.youtube.com/azoresrallyelive. Esta transmissão apenas foi possível devido ao importante apoio da Câmara Municipal de Lagoa e da sua Presidente, Cristina Calisto Decq Mota, mas também do NONAGON, permitindo aos entusiastas outra grande oportunidade de estar perto da prova, na impossibilidade de estarem presencialmente em São Miguel, no final do mês de março de 2017.
A prova a realizar nos arruamentos do Parque de Ciência e Tecnologia de São Miguel foi utilizada pela primeira vez, em rali, em julho de 2016 aquando da realização de uma prova pontuável para o Campeonato de Ralis dos Açores com a promessa que iria fazer parte do itinerário da edição 2017 do Azores Airlines Rallye.
A prova especial permitiu aos concorrentes experimentar as sensações de uma prova especial mista de terra e asfalto, num género de mostra do que podem esperar pilotos e máquinas durante três longos dias de uma excitante prova.
A Lagoa Stage foi disputada nesta prova, na quinta feira, 30 de março, pelas 15:21 (hora local, +1:00 GMT) e contou com uma extensão de 2,14 km, sendo esta a prova especial de abertura da 52.ª edição do Rali dos Açores, o Azores Airlines Rallye de 2017, que contou para o Campeonato FIA da Europa de Ralis, para o Campeonato Nacional de Ralis e Campeonato de Ralis dos Açores.

The Azores Airlines Rally is a sporting event that is undoubtedly one of the best promotional vehicles in the Azores as a tourist destination.
PE LAGOA STAGE
Lagoa Stagemade its debut on the Azores Airlines Rally in 2017 for the FIA European Rally Championship (FIA ERC), having been debuted the previous summer, during a race of the Azores Rally Championship. Its 2.14 kilometers will allow competitors to experience a mix of asphalt and dirt floors, in a sort of preview of what can be expected during the three days of testing.
Lagoa Stagewas the special event to open the 52nd edition of the Azores Rally, the Azores Airlines Rally 2017, and was broadcast live through the Youtube channel of the event, available at www.youtube.com/azoresrallyelive. This transmission was only possible due to the important support of Lagoa Municipal Council and its President, Cristina Calisto Decq Mota, but also of NONAGON, allowing the enthusiasts another great opportunity to be close to the race, inability to be in person in São Miguel, at the end of March 2017.
The test to be carried out in the streets of the Science and Technology Park of São Miguel was used for the first time, in rally, in July of 2016 when performing a scoring test for the Championship of Rally of the Azores with the promise that would be part of the itinerary of the 2017 edition of the Azores Airlines Rallye.
The special event allowed competitors to experience the sensations of a special mixed ground and asphalt race, in a kind of show of what can be expected drivers and machines for three long days of an exciting race.
The Lagoa Stage was played on Thursday, March 30, at 3:21 pm (local time, +1: 00 GMT) and had an extension of 2.14 km, which is the special opening event of the 52 The Azores Airlines Rally 2017, which counted for the FIA European Rally Championship, for the National Rally Championship and Azalean Rally Championship.
