Reasons for a celebration abound:- Apart from the fast approaching Christmas and New Year celebrations, both your host and the hosting venue celebrate their 50th birthdays in 2017.
Our other guest of honour is Simba the Great Cache Tracker. This bold lion accompanies your host on his travels. From the first geocache found in January 2009, he has been tracking geocaches all over the world. He boldly goes where no other lion has gone before him. We will celebrate Simba's achievement of having travelled more than 200 000 km around the world!!
The event organiser is confident that by the time that this event takes place, he will have reached the 2000 mark in found geocaches, and who knows, another geocaching milestone may also be achieved by then.
The festivities will commence at 09:00 and the event will officially end at 11:00 but the fun of geocachers enjoying each other's company will continue uninterrupted until the last attendee heads off into the sunset . . .
