!! FESTA PORTUGUESA !!
Every year, a catholic church in Randfontein puts on an awesome Portuguese Festa (festival/party) in October. I believe this is their biggest fundraiser for the year, and it is extremely well attended. They go all out, and have a TON of delicious food at reasonable prices. They also get the Portuguese community to come and dance, sing and keep the people entertained. I attended last year and it was great.
For this event, we will meet outside (nearby) for a short while and then if you want to go to the festival you can do so. You will be able to find me by my height (I'm very short) and I'll be wearing my Portugal Soccer Shirt and waving the flag of Portugal.
It is your choice if you want to go to the Festa - there is no obligation, hence why we will meet outside. You can log the event, just by meeting us and saying "hi" or even if you come to the festival. You can also go geocaching in the area if you prefer not to go to the festival.
Please let me know if you plan to stay on at the festival, so that I can hold on to a table - they don't take bookings, as it is on a first come, first served basis. But it fills up very quickly, so I would like to hold onto a table if I know you will be coming.
Did I mention there will also be ice, cold beer and jugs of caipirinha? If it is going to be as hot as it was last year, this will go down a treat.
Any costs will be for your own account.
