Derriford Church started life as Down House Mission on Tavistock Road in 1895. Over time it became a member of the Congregational Church.
In June 1966 the foundation stone was laid for a new building on the not yet built Derriford Estates. The building opened for worship in December 1966
In 1972 the Congregational Church and the Presbyterian Church of England joined to form the United Reformed Church, which they are still part of.

A - On the wooden cross there is a brass plate, on the third line how many words start with the letter "A"
B - What date in June was the foundation stone laid
C - How many panes of glass are around the two front double doors of the church
12 Sept 2019, what have they done, only gone and stuck a massive great big banner over three of the windows. If the banner is still there, can you add three to "C", the number of windows around the door. If uncertain, look at the photo on the web page.
